J Scott (Sunderland AFC and ex-Drumpellier CC) was due to umpire. Mr Paxton, who came to play for Glasgow and District, was too unwell to take park and J Scott took his place. Mr Paxton umpired but during the afternoon collapsed with an epileptic fit. He was carried to the pavilion where he recovered.
